Trains Frolicking in the Snow

Описание к видео Trains Frolicking in the Snow

We've featured trains in the rain in a prior video, so now we're gonna "chill" with some action on the rails while snow is on the ground, which always makes winter railfanning a bit more interesting and picturesque...

At 0:30, we begin in Inglefield with the sun shining down on the snowy landscape as well as CSX 5406 and CSX 850 as they lead a 123-car mixed freight southbound.

At 3:37, we continue at the St. James curve with a long view of CSX 822 and CSX 49 and CSX 3116 pulling a northbound 139-car train consisting of 88 empty coal hoppers and 51 autoracks.

At 7:34, we look through a line of bare trees along Ohio Street as CSX 5465 and CSX 5353 lead a rather short 61-car intermodal train northbound (heading east in this particular spot).

At 11:42, we wrap up our snowy fun at sunset with an orange hue along Ohio Street as another northbound heads east. Up front are CSX 110 and CSX 9 (low number alert!), and they're joined by CSX 2379 (a road slug) and CSX 6979 (a GP40-2) while hauling a 100-car mixed freight.

Recorded February 19-21, 2021, in and around Evansville, Indiana.
