Sabena - Joint Venture Thai Airways

Thai Airways and Sabena are partners. They already concluded a block space agreement for the Brussels-Bangkok line on September 7, 1991.
Both are responsible for the commercialization of their capacity.

The first flight under the new agreement was depart from Brussels on Friday, October 4,1991.

The line was operated with a brand new MD11 from Thai. It was the first aircraft of this type to be used by Thai for a European destination. For Brussels airport, the type was completely new.

Twice a week, on Mondays and Fridays, was the flight from Brussels to Bangkok. From Bangkok, the flights where on Tuesdays and Saturdays. A third flight would probably be operated from Brussels in the summer of 1992. This service would then depart on Thursdays.
