PS - This is my first upload in three weeks. Sorry! Real life has become very busy; plus at one point, I was trying to edit five videos at once! I had to step away and take a breath. But much more is to come; I may just have to pace things differently for the time being.

ERRATA:

2024-06-15: I've heard two explanations for the bronzing of the early 1990s PDO UK discs, and the explanation I give in this video is the less plausible of the two. The other claims that the bronzing was the result of elements in the CD's aluminum layer -- not the adhesive layer -- reacting to the sulfuric content of the booklet paper. Not sure why I went with the "adhesive layer" explanation; like I said, I may not be a chemist but the "aluminum" explanation seems to make more sense. How can glue turn a metallic color?

2024-06-16: The title at 20:42 should read "1989 US MCA (blue)/MCAD-619" (not 1988).

2024-06-16: I found an additional CD I was storing in another part of my listening room. It was a promo sampler for "To Be Continued". So, make that 451 Elton CDs!
