Isla De Gigantes / Bakwitan Cave [montage]

A short montage of our trip to Isla De Gigantes in Carles, Iloilo Philippines


One of the highlight of this trip is the Bakwitan Cave. From the name itself "bakwit" meaning evacuees, locals have used it as an ‘evacuation center’ during Typhoons, especially during typhoon Yolanda and it has saved so many lives. Their ancestors also used it as burial caves. There are a lot of amazing sightings in the cave, from stalagmites to stalactites to different figure formation and images such as the figure of Mother Mary which can only be seen in the dark and in person.
