The water at the entrance to Kawailoa Bay (near Po'ipu on the island of Kauai, Hawaii) can get rather intense, depending on when you visit. Just a short walk from Maha'elepu Beach (check it out here:    • Shady Spot at Maha'ulepu Beach - Kauai, Ha...  ), this stretch of coastline offers miles of front-row seats to the constant "choom" and "hiss" of waves slamming against rock and the chaotic jumble of colliding currents throwing spray against the blue skies a bit further out.

The wind was stronger than I expected for this recording. I've done my best to stabilize the shot and get rid of the noise, but there was only so much I could do. If it's any consolation, it's actually not all that different from being there. At one point while setting up the cameras I shouted, "This is WILD" to myself.
