Multiplication is one of the four math skills and calculating techniques and methods that are taught to the kids while they are in school. Multiplication and division might be the hardest and thus it is important that teachers at schools and parents at home choose the easy ways that the kids would easily understand and know how to follow.

One of the different methods that Michelle used in this video to teach the kids how to multiply or else teach the parents at home how to help in homeschooling their kids is about using the grid table. The grid table is used to multiply two numbers that consist of two digits, such as the multiplication of 23 and 14. The multiplication method moves through five different stages: first of all is drawing the grid table and this might change according to the numbers you are using, the second is the partition stage and this is about partitioning the numbers before putting them in the table, the third is the multiplication, the fourth is the addition and finally comes the stage of double checking.

After drawing the table, the kid should learn how to partition the numbers he/she has and this is easy to be done and could be double checked by adding the two numbers that have been brought out together, if they give the same number as the one before being partitioned then it is correct. After partitioning the numbers, the kid should place them in the table and then do the multiplication as shown in the video before reaching the next step which is all about adding the outcome and double checking the final result.

Multiplication could be easy for the kids when it is about two numbers being multiplied by one another, but when these numbers consist of two digits, it all becomes harder - this will also depend on the age of the kid you are dealing with and the stage he/she is at in school.

This video could be for helping kids to know how to multiply, it could be for parents who are homeschooling their kids or just trying to make things easier for them, and it could also be for teachers who are trying to search for new methods to teach kids multiplication that would end up being easy and would make the whole thing much easier for them.
