How to use a Wii Guitar Hero Controller for Nintendo emulation on Mac OSX

Описание к видео How to use a Wii Guitar Hero Controller for Nintendo emulation on Mac OSX

Come check out my Guitar runs at   / arcticayeka

This is a tutorial for connecting a Wii Guitar Hero controller to a MacBook using Mac OS X Catalina.
Updated version that works for new OS X versions here:    • How to use a Wii Guitar Hero Controll...

Things I use:

Nintendo Wii Mote
Guitar Hero Wireless Controller to connect to the WiiMote
MacBook running macOS Catalina

Connect your WiiMote to your Mac by opening up the Bluetooth menu, pressing the red sync button on the back of the WiiMote, and you’ll see the WiiMote appear in your Bluetooth menu.

Also note that I was unable to connect my WiiMote to Mac OS Monterey, as of the making of this video I was unable to bypass the ‘Passkey required’ connection box. If you know how to get past this in more recent Mac OS versions, please let everyone know in the comments.

Once you’re sure you can do that, you’ll need to get a software called Osculator.
Osculator can be found at:
https://osculator.net
Compatible controllers can be found here:
https://osculator.net/forum/forum/sup...

Map the controls and buttons of the Wii Guitar using Osculator to keyboard presses using Key Combos. Once you’ve done that, you can match the keyboard inputs to those of Nestopia and BSNES.
