The latest onboard train video takes us for a ride on 331001 the first of 31 three carriage Caf Civity EMUs that Northern have which form part of the full amount of 43 including the 12 four carriage variants. The four carriage variants replaced the class 321 and 322 on services in and out of Leeds to other areas of Yorkshire like Bradford, Skipton and Doncaster, the three carriage variants run services in the North West and replaced some of the 319s. They were built at Cafs plant in Zaragoza, Spain and are noted as some of the fastest accelerating trains on the UK network allowing them to get up to speed more than twice as fast as the trains they replaced.
