Thank you for viewing :) In this video I compare the price of Silver in 2022 ($38 AUD - $25 USD) per oz buying 4 standard 1 oz coins VS paying the same money ($150 AUD - $97 USD) and buying the 2022 Royal Australian Mint, Great Barrier Reef coin.

2 years later ---

4 x 1oz Silver Kangaroos will cost you $45 AUD each - $30 USD x 4 = $180 AUD - $118 USD - A $30 (20%) increase give or take a few dollars. But the buy back is still only $39 per oz AUD. The $150 you spent in 2022 is now only worth $156 if you sell them back at spot price. Just $6 difference...if you cant sell them privately.

On the other hand The Royal Australian Mint has won two prizes at the international Coin of the Year awards in Pittsburgh in mid 2023. Selected from a field of over 500 coins the Mint received the award for Most Artistic Coin for the 2022 Beauty Rich and Rare. Has this pushed the prices up? not to mention there is only 7500 minted.

Great Barrier Reef coin now selling for $400 AUD - $260 USD - thats a 166% increase just in two years! and the asking prices are sill climbing...

This video is not comparing the capital growth of Silver over the decades, yes Silver is a long term investment. The key is always buy when there is a dip and keep growing your collection.

As I say, buy what you love. Do not stack the boring stuff.
