Hey everyone! I wanted to share my recent trip to Custer State Park, South Dakota. The wide open spaces and beautiful scenery reminded me of the days when bison used to roam freely. I rode all the way from Atlanta, Georgia on my 2019 BMW K-1600 and had an amazing time exploring the park.

During my trip, I installed a touring foot pegs on my motorcycle. It was a great addition and provided me with comfortable positions to rest my feet. I found the perfect spot to install it, ensuring it was at a good height and position. While I did notice some minor paint damage from my boot rubbing against the crash bar, it's easily fixable and doesn't bother me too much. The important thing is that it provides the support I need and allows me to enjoy a cruiser-like riding position.

Speaking of riding positions, I discovered that with this motorcycle, I have three different positions for my feet. I can switch between them depending on how I feel. It's a great way to stretch my legs and avoid fatigue while riding. I can't stress enough how beneficial it is to have these options.

In terms of seating position, I have the seat arranged in the low setting, which is the most comfortable for me. As someone who is around 5'9 with a 30 inseam, this position feels like a standard sports touring position. However, I do experience some back pain due to the lack of support from the backrest. I've been trying different ways to alleviate this, such as using a bag to create a makeshift backrest. If anyone has any suggestions or recommendations for a good backrest solution, I would greatly appreciate it!

Overall, I've had a fantastic experience on my trip and the foot peg has been a reliable addition to my motorcycle. It has not slipped or moved at all, even after covering nearly 2000 miles. I'm really happy with how it's holding up.

I purchased the foot peg online, most likely from Amazon, for around $20-30. It was a great investment and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable riding experience.

That's it for now! If you have any questions or suggestions, feel free to reach out. Ride safe and enjoy the open road!
