“Siikhe water Conservation Lake Project” is constructed across Siikhe stream which is one of the tributaries of Kley river having a catchment area of 8.5 Km2. An earthen embankment spanning 165 m width and a height of 8 m was constructed across the Siikhe stream.

The Water Resources Department of Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh selected Siikhe stream to implement water conservation activities as a pilot project. The project was initiated during the year 2017 and completed during the year 2019

The project is taken up to achieve sustainable development through climate resilient agriculture and promotes integrated water resources management at local level which is in line with the Sustainable Development Goal 6 (SDG) of United Nations.
