Fixing & cleaning old Ford analog clocks

Only fooled around in the garage a couple hours this afternoon. I cleaned the original clock hands and face. It looks super nice and keeps good time. I looked at the clock from the parts 65 dash too..... got it working, but the electromagnet smoked. The mechanism is good, it ran a good 10 minutes before a smoke plum came from it..... wish I had it on video.... it really put a plume off. It still works, even after I reassembled it.... I took the winding mechanism off, so I could show what it looks like, and how it works. I powered it up after, it kept good time a good ten minutes, until I disconnected it from the battery. Just goes to show how durable this old stuff really is.......
