Tour De Force 2 - Trails Through Daybreak - Let's Play Part 45 - Chapter 2

Our Facecam playthrough of Trails Through Daybreak nightmare difficulty continues! That's right ladies and gentlemen our journey through the Legend Of Heroes Trails Through Daybreak is here for the foreseeable future, as we trek across the Calvardian Empire in a completely new saga in the long running Kiseki series. So buckle up for a JRPG marathon of epic proportions filled with twists and turns, memorable heroes and villains as well as one of the best ost in gaming!

Last episode was quite the marathon i think we all agree but boy was it eventful, we finally got our 4th team member Aaron Wei to complete our on field roster at last! Now there's nothing that can stand in the way of Van Arkride Solutions as we hunt down Almata's main base of operations, with Aaron's excellent nose that can sniff out any clue in the city of Langport combined with Van's 100 speech skill. It was simply a matter of time till we discovered where they were hiding, well almost as we didn't have any idea after doing the rounds all over the Eastern Quarter New Town and the Harbour District. BUT thanks to a very chance encounter with the tenacious reporter Marielle who dropped the first clue of the rounds, that a "ghost ship" was spotted out at sea hiding amongst the mist! Although that tall tale was nothing more than a simple legend it did give us the nudge in the right direction, that Almata was no longer in the city of Langport but instead hold up in the abandoned and haunted mining city of Heilong Cheng Zhai!

BUUUUT before we get on with the climax of chapter 2 and the showdown wth Almata's executives, we have one final 4SPG quest to be done and it's a truly traumatic one! But not for reasons you may be thinking as we have been given an encore to the previous 4SPG mission we did "Tour de Force", where we hunted down a giant crab whilst being shown/told tales of the Eroded Cave by the epic tour guide! It's time to proceed with the aptly called 4SPG quest err "Tour de Force 2", little on the nose there with the name ey Falcom? But none the less it's exactly what it says on the tin as yet another giant monster called the "Ghastly Djinn" has made the Eroded Cave it's latests home and naturally as a result of this many "smaller" monsters have followed it here to set up shop!

This is where my slow descent into madness begins as these monsters are not small and cuddly like it was made out, but in fact GIANT fishes with AOE attacks the size of Zemuria and a super attack in which it shoots a laser beam from his butt! The best part is none of what i just said is a lie you will have to see for yourself, but there was a single bit of hope as we now have the famous Crimson Khan on our team! Perfectly made to be the evasion tank for Trails Through Daybreak so surely he will be able to dodge every attack and counter with some MASSIVE HITS! Yeah nah as always evasion in the early game is still full of rng even if you have a 99% chance, as we all know it's 50/50 at any % besides 100...

Anyway it's best if you guys see what happens for yourself so buckle up for intense and epic fights! Get ready to see a man descend into madness as Aaron continues to be hit over and over and over again, but the pay off is worth it! Let's play already!
