Earlier, the executive Director of Pathway went to Gabtali cow haat last night to buy cows according to the choice of third gender people. And according to their choice, cows are bought for 2 lakh 10 thousand rupees. People of the third gender are over-joyed to be able to buy cows according to their choice. They say no one has ever taken such an initiative before. Today, Pathway has doubled the joy of their Eid. Thanks to the Executive Director.

আজ রবিবার (১০ জুলাই)দুপুরে রাজধানীর মিরপুর-১০ সেনপাড়া পর্বতা পাথওয়ের প্রধান কার্যালয়ে এই গরু কোরবানি দেওয়া হয়। তৃতীয় লিঙ্গের মানুষদের মাঝে ঈদের আনন্দ ছড়িয়ে দিতে এই উদ্যোগ নিয়েছেন পাথওয়ের নির্বাহী পরিচালক মো. শাহিন। আর সমাজের পিছিয়ে পড়া এসব মানুষদের সমাজের মূলস্রোতে ফিরিয়ে আনতেই তাদের এই উদ্যোগ।

শুধু ব্যতিক্রমী উদ্যোগ গ্রহণ করেই তিনি দৃষ্টান্ত স্থাপন করেন নি। তৃতীয় লিঙ্গের মানুষদের উপস্থিতিতেই গরু কোরবানি দেয়া হয়। এবং তৃতীয় লিঙ্গের মানুষরা নিজের হাতে গরুর মাংস নিজেদের মাঝেো বন্টন করে নেয়। এই কোরবানিতে প্রায় পাঁচশত তৃতীয় লিঙ্গের মানুষ উপস্থিত ছিলেন।

পাথওয়ের নির্বাহী পরিচালক বলেন, সুবিধাবঞ্চিত তৃতীয় লিঙ্গের মানুষদের পাশে দাঁড়াতে পেরে খুবই আনন্দিত। তৃতীয় লিঙ্গের মানুষরা বিভিন্ন বাড়ি বাড়ি গিয়ে মাংসের সংগ্রহের যে দৃশ্য দেখেন তিনি। সেই দৃশ্যটি যেন আর দেখতে না হয়, সেজন্যই তিনি এই উদ্যোগ গ্রহণ করেছেন। তৃতীয় লিঙ্গের মানুষদের সঙ্গে ঈদের আনন্দ ভাগাভাগি করে নিতে পেরে খুশি মো. শাহিন। প্রতিবছর এধরনের ব্যতিক্রমী উদ্যোগ গ্রহণের কথা বলেন পাথওয়ের নির্বাহী পরিচালক। এই ধরনের উদ্যোগে সমাজের বিত্তবান ও সামর্থ্যবান ব্যক্তিরা তাদের পাশে থাকবেন বলে প্রত্যাশা তার।

এর আগে গতকাল রাতে গাবতলী গরু হাটে তৃতীয় লিঙ্গের মানুষদের পছন্দ অনুযায়ী গরু ক্রয় করতে যান পাথওয়ের নির্বাহী পরিচালক। এবং তাদের পছন্দ অনুযায়ী ২ লাখ ১০ হাজার টাকায় গরু ক্রয় করা হয় । তৃতীয় লিঙ্গের মানুষ নিজেদের পছন্দ অনুযায়ী গরু কিনতে পেরে খুশিতে আত্মহারা। তারা বলছেন এ ধরনের উদ্যোগ আগে কখনো গ্রহণ করেনি কেউই। আজ তাদের ঈদের আনন্দকে দ্বিগুণ করে দেওয়ায় পাথওয়ের
নির্বাহী পরিচালককে ধন্যবাদ জানান।
