Students and professors at Virginia Tech University say the shooter in Monday's deadly shooting there showed big warning signs. Two faculty members say they recall how angry Cho Seung-Hui seemed, with one even contacting police about his disturbing writings in English class. That's according to CNN. Students remember Cho's behavior to be unusual, saying he talked about suicide and stalked women. Hui was a 23-year-old Virginia Tech student from South Korea who police say killed 30 people and wounded 17 others on his campus before turning the gun on himself.

Meanwhile, South Koreans say they're shocked over the Virginia Tech shooting as details emerge that Cho Seung-Hui is a native of South Korea. Cho was born in Seoul and lived there for eight years. The President of that country recently held a meeting with his staff to talk about the shooting and discuss ways to calm the situation. The South Korea leader is expected to make an apology statement at an event in Seoul later today.

Analysts say it's not likely that gun control will be put on the U.S. political agenda, despite the recent shooting. They say this is an issue politicians prefer to stay away from.
CNN reports Democrats have been gun shy ever since they lost control of Congress 12 years ago. That was following the passage of the Brady Bill in 1993 and the assault weapons ban in 1994. Former President Bill Clinton partially blamed gun lobby for his party's defeat. Others like Al Gore during the 2000 presidential campaign rarely talked about the issue. And Senator John Kerry said he has and always will protect the Second Amendment during his campaign in 2004.
