The Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències (City of Arts and Sciences) is an entertainment-based cultural and architectural complex in the city of Valencia, Spain. It is considered as the most importants modern tourist destination in the city and is one of the 12 Treasures of Spain.

The City of Arts and Sciences is located at the southest end of the former riverbed of the river Turia, which was drained and rerouted following the catastrophic flood during the year 1957. The old riverbed was turned into the beautiful and picturesque sunken park.

The complex is designed by Santiago Calatrava and Félix Candela. The project began its first stages of construction in July 1996 and was inaugurated on 16th of April 1998 with the opening of L'Hemisfèric. The Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia was the last major component of the City of Arts and Sciences, inaugurated on the 9th of October 2005, the Valencian Community Day. The L'Agora, the most recent building in the complex was opened in 2009.

The Palau de les Art Reina Sofia is an opera house and performing arts center committed to music and performing arts. It holds many events such as opera, theatre and music in its auditoriums.

The Montolivet Bridge is the concrete road bridge crossing the dry Turia riverbed and is located between the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia and L'Hemisfèric.

L'Hemisfèric contains planetarium, laserium, and an IMAX cinema. The building is meant to resemble a giant eye, is the centerpiece of the City of Arts and Sicences. It was the first building completed in 1998. There is a remarkable echo in the building that if two people stand at the two opposite pillars inside of the eye they can speak with each other.

Museu de les Cìencies Príncipe Felipe is an interactive museum of science that resembles the skeleton of a whale. The building's architecture is famous for its geometry, structure, use of the materials and design around nature.

L'Umbracle is an open structure surrounding the landscaped walk with numerous plant species indigenous to Valencia. The plants displayed were carefully picked to change they color with each season. There are also more than a hundred aromatic plants found in this area.

Assut de l'Or Bridge is the white cable-stayed bridged crossing the dry Turia riverbed that is located in between Museu de les Ciències and L'Agora.

L'Agora is a covered plaza where concerts, exhibitions, performances and sporting events are held.

L'Oceanogràfic is an open-air oceanographic park. It is considred as thr largest oceanographic aquarium in Europe with 110,000 square meters and 42 million liters of water. It was built in the shape of a water lily and is work of architect Félix Candela.
