My Child's Father is Not Paying Child Support. Do I Still Have to Allow Him to See Our Child?

Today, I want to discuss a question that I frequently hear, which is my child's father is not paying child support. Do I still have to allow him to see our child? Under Texas Law, you are still obligated to allow your child's father to see your child even if he is not paying child support. In this situation, I recommend really figuring out what is happening here. Is this the situation where your child's father genuinely cannot afford the child support amount because his circumstances have changed since the order was put in place or is this a situation where your child's father is just outright refusing to pay because he does not believe that your child is entitled to those funds? If it is a situation where your child's father is just refusing to pay, then you can file an enforcement action and go back in front of judge to have that judge order that he must pay, otherwise he could be held in contempt.
