From a support job at a FinTech company to creating amazing VR simulations, this is the story of Prashant Dombale #HumansOfGaming

Prashanth got his first PC in class 5th and started with games like IGI, Counter-Strike, Doom, and Quake, you know the classics. But he never saw this as a career he would be pursuing, even though he was insanely curious about games and the limitations the game developers face while creating these masterpieces.

”I just wanted to know why Tommy Vercetti can’t swim in GTA Vice City, there aren’t even any cutscenes where the characters are shown swimming. I wondered what was so complex about swimming”

After completing his Computer Science Engineering at Vivekanand Education Society's Institute Of Technology, Prashant joined a FinTech company. After a year of working at this place, Prashanth found himself in autopilot mode, just working for the sake of it. But then, everything changed.

Enter the Covid-19 lockdown, a time when Prashant reflected on what exactly he wants to do with his career. Thankfully, a close friend of Prashanth who knew him from his college days suggested the idea of game development to him.

”He knew me very well and knew how much I loved games. I was always curious about games, so I thought why not give game development a try”

As it would turn out, this try was about to change everything for Prashant.

Prashant joined Outscal to thoroughly understand the world of game development, and he loved what the course had to offer.

”I was much more motivated. Even right now when I am working I would randomly start thinking of solutions to various game dev problems that we face. This feeling was so alien to me in my previous job”

“I remember creating a flappy bird clone of my own, and while I loathe the code I wrote then now, making that game was one of the best feelings I had experienced.”

After graduating from Outscal, Prashant joined AiSolve Limited, a London-based company, where he is currently working on creating VR simulations for hospitals to train first responders for emergency situations.
