LUANG PRABANG Night Market STREET FOOD Feast | LAOS 🇱🇦

We headed out to the Luang Prabang Night Market for a bit of a local lao Street food feast 🇱🇦

First off we tried Or Lam for the first time which is a unique laos dish, essentially a buffalo stew with incredibly soft buffalo skin inside aswell as a inedible spicy chilli wood ingredient we have never tried before! This stuff had such a crazy taste.

As always we couldn't not get the grilled pork while here in Laos so we got aload of crispy pork, sticky rice and jeow bong (laos dip) the pork was just fantastic, so fatty and crispy literally heaven, the jeow bong is like the perfect partner for all lao foods.

Next we got a super typical luang Prabang style papaya salad. Now this was interesting the papaya is cut into these thicker pieces here in Luang Prabang and obviously the fermented fish sauce is present! We love papaya salads and this was no exception.

To end the night we tried the kai pen - a River weed grown in the luang Prabang area for 3 months of the year which is then sun-dried with tomato and sesame seeds and fried up to eat! This stuff is seriously tasty what a good beer snack, goes perfectly with sticky rice and lao jeow.

The food here was super tasty and cheap but we really did not like the luang Prabang Night Market, there were just so many rude and ignorant tourists it really isn't our thing.
