Daria Tempo Runecraft was a deck that was born from the Rise of Bahamut expansion. It is a fairly aggressive deck that centers around Runecraft's Spellboost class mechanic, and Dimensional Witch Daria who is the legendary they received from that expansion. The deck has a very similar playstyle to Storm Haven, where it has a somewhat unimpressive early game but has a huge powerspike turn. In Daria, the power spike ideally happens at around Turns 4-5. This is achieved through followers like Witchette Emmylou, Ogler, and Blade Mage, who all get a cost reduction for every spellboost. So the swing turn happens by playing a bunch of followers at a greatly reduced cost(or even for free!), and then riding that momentum to victory. Other than casting spells, the deck can also spellboost followers through Craig and Clarke, who do this through their fanfare effects.

Daria herself is a 9 cost 5/5 who gets cheaper for every Spellboost, and also has an insane fanfare effect: she banishes your hand, and then draws 5 cards. Those 5 cards also get Spellboosted 5 times. So not only can she be potentially be played for a very cheap cost, she could also allow you to play a bunch of other followers for free(if she draws Emmylou and Ogler for example). Since this is an aggressive deck, you will run out of cards quickly, and Daria is the primary way to refill your hand when you start to run out of gas.

Daria Rune unfortunately has a very high roll nature to it. The deck is heavily reliant on drawing Daria early, and will run out of steam very quickly if this does not happen. The deck also greatly prefers to go 2nd. Going 2nd means an extra card is drawn, which increases the chances of drawing an early Daria. The deck's signature "power spike" turns typically happen during evolutions because of the Levi + Piercing Rune combo, so there is a world of difference between having 3 versus 2 chances at this.

In Tempest of the Gods, the main new card that this archetype received was Magic Girl Melvie. Melvie is a 5 cost 4/4 who makes both players draw cards until their hand contains 7 cards. She improves the consistency of the deck, since she is a way to refill your hand other than Daria.

One of the best parts about Daria Rune is that it's a relatively cheap competitive deck! Daria is the only legendary needed, although she is so important to the deck that 3 must be run for consistency. After that, the only golds needed are Levi and however many copies of Melvie you prefer to run.
