"But there are so many different types of electric bikes" I hear you thinking.
I know right. We always recommend test riding as many as possible, starting in your local area and expanding out in concentric circles until you find what's right for you.

Personally I prefer electric mountain bikes because they are so versatile such as this one we dubbed the "go anywhere electric bike".

We're yet to go everywhere but we have tried it out on dirt, gravel, rocks big and small, roads, drains, grass, bike paths, skate bowls, sand, water, mud, hills, garden beds and even took it out on an epic brunch run.
