I was recently introduced to this little device called an Enginstar 300 Power Station. It’s a clever little device that I would like to show to you.
I say “little” because it is about the same size as our cat. It stands 7 - 1/2 inches tall and around 9 inches wide, and less than six inches deep. At 6.5 pounds, it’s highly portable, ready to go on your next adventure. This Enginstar portable power station has a built-in lithium battery that provides 296 watt-hours of power usage, sufficient to power up your weekend camping trips, RV road trip, all kinds of outdoor or off-grid activities. It has two USB outputs to power up your phone, laptop, camera, drone, and more. The DC 12V cigarette lighter output is suitable for providing power to a mini fridge. And the two AC outlets can be used for all sorts of items, such as a fan or a lamp.
Even around the house, the Enginstar can be very functional since it has a pure sine wave inverter built in. One of the clever applications for this technology might be to pair it with a CPAP machine. You can plug this power bank into the wall, and then plug your CPAP machine into the unit, as a pass-through arrangement. This would add an extra layer of peace knowing that the sleeper will pass blissfully right through any power failure.
In working with this product, I discovered a couple of things I want to share with you. First, it takes about seven hours to charge up. I wouldn’t have suspected that, but that’s how it performed for me. Then, when I tested its performance capabilities, it ran a box fan for 5.5 hours. That isn’t an all-night session, so be aware of that, but it is impressive for such a small size unit.
