Gundam Epyon by Daban Model | MG 1/100 | Noobuildz

What's up Noobuilderz?

Since my last build's the Wing Proto Zero, my latest is the Epyon (by Daban Model).

It took me a long time before I finished this build because there's a lot of things that I needed to do first. I literally did it one step at a time, since I build one part a day (during my free time).

There were minimal fitting issues, but can easily be corrected by sanding the peg or adjusting the whole where it will be inserted. There were also some parts that I needed to glue 'coz it keeps on popping out. There are also loose joints like the one I encountered on the arm (the left arm can barely hold the shield upward).

The plastic quality of this kit is far different from that of the Wing Proto Zero, which was a little Bandai-like, IMO. There were obvious mold defects (did I use the right term?), which you need to sand in order to have a better quality of that specific part.

I used water slide decals, which I bought separately, since I had a bad experience using the included decals for the WPZ.

The Epyon looked better after putting on panel lines, decals and especially the flat top coat. I really love how the build looks and feels after applying the top coat. You won't instantly notice that it's a bootleg if you will not look closely.

This kit is still fun to build despite the defects and issues it has (what would you expect from a 3rd party kit? 😅). This is still recommended if you like Epyon and you're on a tight budget. (REMINDER: Patience is a Virtue. 😬)
