We live in a box truck! Tour our artsy tiny home on wheels! (DIY)

This is like a rite of passage into van-life, right? Uploading a van tour of your sweet build! Except, we often call bologna on some of these YouTube van tours. Especially when they claim the perfect design for full-time living, when they just finished putting up the tools and tried sleeping in it for a week. Not here at HAND IN HAND! We wanted to rigorously test our build for efficiency, usability, comfort, and experience for FOUR years before promoting such a build option!

But seriously, Marshy’s been true and perfect for what we wanted in a home on wheels. We’re happy to share her with you here! Clearly, this video could’ve been an hour long, so please, let’s keep the content going in the comments if you have any questions. We’ll answer all the deets we didn’t cover in the video, and maybe elaborate even more in a future vid.

Why would we do this video? We like to educate about this lifestyle choice! And if you’ve been tinkering with the idea of a mobile-life setup, we hope this video could give some practical insight into how you could proceed. After all, we attended MANY YouTube University courses before starting our rig.(that’s metaphorical, because YouTube is such a learning platform, it’s like going to school, but you know that already) soak it up, baby! It ALL informs!

We converted our box-truck into our full-time tiny home on wheels to travel and create public artwork. We’ve been full-time on the road for four years. The life and work we create are aimed to establish real, meaningful connections. In fact, we say it’s ALL for connection!

This is our first attempt to capture our daily life in this format. We hope to show a bit of the honest feelings and happenings that occur in a creative partnership, a 100-square-foot home on wheels (lovingly named the Marshmellow — as in we want to be more mellow), and the personal discoveries along the way. We see this video project as a reflective tool for us, as well as a more transparent look for anyone interested in a life outside the norm.
