I've applied transfer learning on VGG-Face and train the network for age and gender labeled face pictures. Data set consists of 100K face pictures collected from imdb and wikipedia data sources. This video shows real time age and gender prediction implementation. This program is run on my personal computer and CPU (i7 processor).

Technical background: OpenCV serves for face detection whereas our custom implementation predicts the apparent age and gender of detected face. Modelling is handled in Python and run on Keras for TensorFlow backend.

This work is based on the study of the article "DEX: Deep EXpectation of apparent age from a single image" as referenced in the blog post.
