In an effort to raise awareness about the risks and prevention of Dengue Fever, SAGA Moro organized an important lecture program at the Girls College Moro.

Yesterday, a lecture program titled "Dengue Fever: Prevention, Treatment, and Protection" (Ḍenḡī Bukhār, Bachā'o, Ilāj Aur Hifāzat) was successfully held at the Government Girls College Moro, with the cooperation of College Principal Madam Afshan Kandhro.

Key Speaker: The lecture was delivered by the renowned Sindhi writer and social leader, Dr. Ghulam Sarwar Bughio.

Introduction: In the opening segment, Professor Shamshad Ahmed Soomro, President of SAGA Moro, highlighted the mandate and objectives of SAGA, presented the organization's performance, and introduced the lecturer, Dr. Ghulam Sarwar Bughio.

Dr. Ghulam Sarwar Bughio explained the nature and spread of the disease:

Seasonality: Dengue fever primarily spreads during the months of September, October, and November every year.

Global Impact: He noted that four million people worldwide are affected by this fever.

Symptoms: The virus is transmitted through a mosquito bite. Symptoms typically develop within four to seven days, causing the fever to soar up to 104 degrees Fahrenheit. Patients experience body pain, fatigue, and weakness.

Complications: Platelet count drops (Platelets Kam Ho Jāte Hain), and internal bleeding may occur.

Diagnosis: Diagnosis is confirmed through laboratory tests, which are usually conducted after noting the patient's history and the onset of high fever.

Cause & Prevention: Dr. Bughio emphasized that the Dengue mosquito bites during the daytime and breeds in fresh water. Open buckets, uncovered water tanks, and poor sanitation are the root causes. He strongly advised taking precautions and adopting preventative measures (Ehtiyāt Bartī Jā'e Aur Ehtiyātī Tadābīr Ikhtiyār Kī Jā'en).
