We have some truly great bands on our Narrowboat but Sorrell Nation are definitely up there with the best Americana we've ever had aboard. With Sorrell Nation herself on lead vocals and guitar, Theo Holder on backing vocals and cello and Sam Anderson on backing vocals and resonator these guys transport you straight into the Mississippi Delta within a few bars. They haven't actually been together much more than a year, Sorrell played in and around pubs from her early teens but then she met Sam and the magic started to unfold so two years ago Sorrell quit all of her day jobs and took up the rocky path of professional musician. Their second wonderful song for us was Sorrel's beautiful 'Eggshells'. She wrote this about being in an unstable relationship where you constantly feel like you are walking on eggshells.
