International Brigades: Threat to Madrid Memorial, 2013

Impassioned call from Almudena Cros to save the Madrid Memorial to the International Brigades at the IBMT Annual Commemoration held on 6th July 2013 in Jubilee Gardens on the South Bank, London at the site of the British Memorial to the International Brigades. Almudena Cross was representing 'La Asociación de Amigos de las Brigadas Internacionales' (AABI) aka 'The Amigos'. On 3 June 2013 the Madrid regional high court upheld a petition and ordered the university to remove the memorial.
Protest against this ruling have come from UK and Ireland, USA, Sweden and other European countries. The film also features clips from interviews with Almudena and with Mike Arnott of the IBMT Scotland and an introduction from the platform by Jim Jump Secretary of the IBMT.
