Söderköping is a picturesque and medieval small town surrounded by countryside, nature and the Sankt Anna archipelago. The city was for a long time an important port for Baltic Sea traffic, together with Visby and Kalmar. Several churches and a monastery were also built here in the 13th century, during a time when the Catholic Church had great power over the population. It's a very nice place to visit all the year around.
Along the Gota canal there is also the interesting small village Norsholm, a cross road for ships, railways and cars.
