NEGLECTED DOG NAIL TRIMMING | Very satisfying paw pad trim down!

This rescue Bull Terrier came in for a severe nail and paw pad make-over!
He was rescued only a few days before this video and his nails were not done yet. We had to sedate him to cut his nails because it would be too painful and stressful to cut these long nails short enough to get them to be manageable for the dog.

Cutting dogs nails through the blood vessel is a literal bloody painful mess for dogs, and must be done under anesthesia by a licensed veterinarian. Cutting through the vein is acceptable when the dogs nails are packed with a styptic powder to control bleeding.

Never cut your dogs nails close to the fur. Always go a few centimeters past the paw pad, is the shortest they should ever be.

Please never cut your dogs nails this short without professional veterinary assistance to put your dog under anesthesia so that they can be cut in a controlled and pain-free manner.
