In this math video we will be using proportional relationships to enlarge a recipe. We will draw a picture to visualize the information given in the real world problem. We will understand that a proportional relationship exists in a recipe in order to maintain the integrity of the original recipe and the flavor profile. We will write a proportion using the given information. We will solve the proportion using Cross Product Property. We will rewrite a mixed number as an improper fraction. We will multiply a whole number by a fraction. We will solve an equation by multiplying both sides by the reciprocal. We will understand that any number multiplied by its reciprocal is one. An exemplar solution is modeled and explained.
