LUXURY SUPERYACHT CRUISE - EMERALD CRUISES EMERALD AZZURRA SHIP TOUR (inc. Corinth Canal transit)

When Emerald Cruises launched 100-passenger luxury superyacht Emerald Azzurra a year ago in 2022, it was their first ocean-going ship - until then Australian-owned Emerald Cruises (which comes under the Scenic Cruises umbrella) was better known for river cruising across Europe and Southeast Asia. But with the arrival of Emerald Azzurra, all that changed. Azzurra sails around the world and has been dubbed a superyacht. It has seven decks and 50 cabins. I did a 7-night Greek island cruise. This video offers snapshot of whole ship, doing a ship tour of its top decks, looking at its infinity pool and giant hot tub as well as the chichi seating and sunbathing areas. It also takes a look at the ship's amazing facilities for a yacht this size - it has a gym, infrared sauna and an outstanding watersports marina and platform at the back of deck 2. I went kayaking, but there's a trampoline, a Sea Bob, paddle boards etc. - lots of great fun water toys. The ship also has E-bikes and healthy shots at breakfast called 'raw boost of the day'. The video also looks at my cabin, food and entertainment, from cocktail-making demonstrations to live music and dancing. The best thing about this superyacht is that it can reach places bigger ships can't reach, also highlighted in this video, like islands bigger ships can't stop at and being able to transit the CORINTH CANAL. The Corinth Canal is an amazing feat of engineering like its Suez and Panama Canal counterparts. My cruise/voyage included a transit of this narrow 4-mile canal which only smaller ships are able to navigate. It was SPECTACTULAR - a real highlight of the cruise. Especially because we sailed through it at night, when it was all lit up. The canal is SUPER narrow and was a very tight squeeze. It was very exciting. Also fabulous was the superyacht's al fresco restaurant terrace where there's space for most guests to dine at night, weather permitting. The food was great, but this made dinners more special somehow - dining as the sun set etc. Other highlights included in the film are seeing a super moon, being allowed by the captain to honk the ship's horn and visiting the ancient Green remains of Delphi, which date back to a staggering 500 B.C.
You might imagine that a cruise on a Superyacht would be stuffy and posh and feel weird, but actually this was one of the most relaxed, fun and laid back cruises I've ever done. My fellow passengers were lovely and lively and just wanted to have a good time and a nice holiday. It was a blast from start to finish.
