He lectured for about 30 years at the Polytechnic Ibadan, where he became a Head of the Department of Music Technology (HoD) and later rose to the status of a Faculty Dean in that same school.

To his credit, he was the composer of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Anthem in 1984, and took a lead role in the composition and presentation of a dirge at the Liberty Stadium, Ibadan, during the funeral of Chief Jeremiah Obafemi Awolowo; the prestigious Premier of the Old Western Region in 1987 with about 2, 500 school children participating in the presentation.

He was also the composer of the Osun State Anthem in 1991 and was responsible for writing the curriculum / syllabus for the Music Technology Department, The Polytechnic Ibadan. He was an examiner with the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) for about 21 years and retired as a Faculty Dean in 2009.
