Hello my friends! This month, I wanted to make a video of Ballad of the Windfish from The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening. It's another song that I love to play from lead sheets, but had never made an actual video for it.
I like to think of my harp arrangement as a relaxed, totally chilled out version as if you were sitting on the beach on a tropical island, palm trees above you, a breeze blowing through them. Ahhh.
To do that, I slowed it waaaaaaaaay down hahaha, even slower than I originally thought I would do, and replace the original accompaniment with something a little more straightforward and leaning into those mellow seventh chords.
And of course, this video would not be complete if I didn't wear my Windfish t-shirt 😄 (It was a limited-run design from either an AGDQ or SGDQ of a few years past, so it probably isn't available anymore.)
