This run has been a passion project over the past 6 months. Thanks you to the Scooby-Doo Speedrunning community for all the hard work put into optimizing the game over the years. I started my initial journey into Speedrunning 100% back in 2018. For a long time, I've always wondered what a "Perfect Run" of this category would look like. Fast forward to the present and we finally have a fairly good end product. There are certainly a few mistakes in movement in a few areas, just due to the slow nature of TAS-ing and the overall length of the run.

The TAS project routing initially began back in 2019, but it wasn't until October of 2021 when I actually began TAS-ing. I restarted this project twice due to complications with certain tricks, forgetting snacks or a warp gates, fixing desync issues, and in general not being satisfied with the movement in the final product that I was producing.

Finally, after taking a few months off, I got back into this project with a goal to finish it within a deadline. I started this file you're seeing now in Jan 23rd, 2022 and completed the TAS on February 6th, 2022 (14 DAYS).

The route was created with a combination of many great minds from the Scooby Community and each stage was individually routed with what the fastest way to get through the room possible is. I definitely have contributed quite a lot to this route and category over the years, but I do not take full credit for every optimization. Everything you see in this TAS, someone from our community has had an impact in someway and whether they helped shave off 2 seconds or 10 minutes, every second has been accounted for in this TAS.

While most timing/routing was done outside of this movie, the rerecord count (of at least 20,000) could accurately be inflated several times over, and some rerecords are a result of accidental reloading of save states.

I have easily spent more time and effort on this project than even any speedrun to my name. This TAS, starting out as a fun theorycrafting side project in an underdeveloped, underrated Scooby-Doo platforming video game, and evolved into one of the most rewarding, fun, and passionate experiences of my life.

An Any% TAS is on the horizon and I plan to complete that before the 20th anniversary of the game (May 22nd). I plan on putting as much, if not more, effort into that to make it the most satisfying run I can possible create.

Special thanks to HDBSD for creating the lua scripts used in the run for Pause Storage, Fast menus, and Lag Clipping. Without you, this TAS would surely not have turned out as incredible or ever have been released.

RTA Standard Timing (Press New Game to Final Hit on Mastermind): 1:33:56
TAS Standard Timing (Power-on to Final Hit on Mastermind): 1:34:34

Although the video file is 187,000 frames (From Power On to Verifying 100%), the actual run, timed from pressing New Game to defeating Mastermind accounts to around 173,000 frames.
