Boulder, Colorado attack: Suspect threw Molotov cocktails during pro-Israeli event, officials say

Multiple people were injured in a violent attack at a pedestrian mall in Boulder, Colorado, Sunday. Authorities say the injuries are consistent with reports that individuals were set on fire. A suspect has been taken into custody, and the FBI is calling the incident a “targeted terror attack.” Police have not released a motive, but the incident occurred during a demonstration calling for the release of hostages in Gaza. The mall area was evacuated, and Colorado’s governor condemned the act as hate-fueled violence.

The suspect, identified as 45-year-old Mohamed Sabry Soliman, yelled “Free Palestine” and used a makeshift flamethrower in the attack, said Mark Michalek, the special agent in charge of the Denver field office. Soliman was taken into custody.
