Mecha in Blender - Wing Gundam - 3D Modeling Timelapse (no audio)

Описание к видео Mecha in Blender - Wing Gundam - 3D Modeling Timelapse (no audio)

This project was modeled entirely in Blender 3.2 with the default shortcut keys and without any third-party add-ons. In total, this video is over 18 hours of the first phase in the Project-M workflow: the Blockout Phase.

In a traditional 3D workflow, the armature is added after the model is detailed. Wing Gundam has a transformation process, so it is very important to get the proportions correct before the geometry is finalized. Using this method, this model can be made into many derivatives based on the foundations made in the Blockout Phase.

This video is intended for people with a basic understanding of the 3D production process in Blender. You should be able to slow down and pause the video at any moment to see which shortcut keys I use, but if you're still confused, please ask me in the comments below.

Currently, I cannot confirm if projects made with this workflow are 3D printable. These models work best in setups for film/animation or in game engines.

More examples of completed projects using this workflow can be found on my portfolio page:

This project is based on the Real Grade model kit. Reference planes were made from the decal guide of this kit. You can find these planes here: https://mjeff3d.gumroad.com/l/RefPlanes
