Reports say that Russia has 130,000 troops amassed at the Ukraine border but it remains unclear if they will invade. Is the US overreacting and is this all a bluff by Putin? Or is an invasion really imminent?

I love your discussions. whether I bet my majority report subscription for two years that she will support your take on Ukraine. give the state department tips on how to lie even better. Digby is coming on. I think I don't know I'll probably have her this Friday. but I get the sense that you're satisfied. Look, I don't know if you know like they are supposedly. I don't know if it's if they refer to themselves as anti-imperialist or anti-war but I am against the killing of people and the war. and as far as I know, no one has refuted the fact that Russia has built and amassed over a hundred thousand troops on the border of Ukraine. Now I don't know what their intentions are. It seems a little weird unless they're afraid of Ukraine invading Russia. which I also think would be a little weird to assume. but there's now reportedly 130,000 troops. Maybe there isn't. Maybe that's a complete myth. But I think that there is a legitimate concern that Russia is going to invade Ukraine. I don't need to feel that Ukraine is full of nice people and I do not want that to happen. if the worst thing that the state department does is pretend that there's going to be some false flag and describe it and that prevents war. but you know I don't think people understand what the leverage situation is here. seems to me that Russia has most of the leverage at this point. There doesn't seem to be a huge willingness to admit Ukraine into nato. at least by the partners of nato. or it would have happened by now. There was a commitment made by George Bush that they would come in. and it created certain expectations and they're certainly without a doubt people who want to admit Ukrainian to nato. personally, I think we should start kicking everybody out of nato. and begin to wind it down.
