A film that keeps us in suspense throughout. She's held prisoner in a old mansion
on the edge of an angry sea and nowhere to run.... They're going to kill her, but why? Her predicament doesn't make sense. tension mounts as she tries one escape after another, but even strangers seem against her. We begin to feel her helplessness and mounting paranoia as the world turns away from her. has she lost it... Is her mind just playing tricks on her... or is this reality and only she can depend on herself to survive.

In this film they used lovely monochrome photography to convey an even sense of normality, later to be disrupted by expressionistic shadows, spooky silhouettes and evocative use of compositions that enlarge or diminish characters within the frame and in relation to each other.
