The current episode is on Sufism, Sufi saints and its importance not only in Kashmir valley, but also in different parts of the country.There are many places across the country where these Sufi Saints have preached peace and brotherhood. Among them is the famous shrine of Hazratbal in Srinagar were recently people of Kashmir valley celebrated the birthday of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) also known as Eid Milad- un-Nabi (SAW). On this occasion hundreds of people offer prayers at Dargah Hazratbal with Covid protocols where the holy relic of Prophet Mohammad (S.A.W) has been shown which results in devotees praying for peace and prosperity for the whole world, especially people of the valley . Milad celebrations are going on across the valley but Hazratbal is always a big gathering. According to Islamic calendar the Prophet Mohammad (S.A.W) has been born in third month on 12th reabi-ul-awal which results every year all over the world Muslim community are celebrating this day with full faith and respect. On this day people are organizing different types of Islamic conferences to spread the message of Prophet Mohammad (S.A.W) that he loves peace and prosperity. Special arrangements were put in place by the authorities for the devotees to celebrate the day and special attention was paid to COVID-19 protocols to ensure social distancing and other SOPs at various shrines including Hazratbal and other revered shrines across Jammu and Kashmir. The Sufi culture rejects any form of militancy and radicalisation. The program engages Youth in supporting Sufism and Kashmiriyat. The show also contains interviews with theologists of repute to highlight the Sufi tradition as Kashmir’s way of life and how following Sufism teachings is better. The program also brings into focus the impact of Sufism on the life of Kashmiris, in Literature, crafts and culture.
