This Iowa State University Department of Horticulture seminar was recorded on Monday, February 13, 2023. Our guest presenter is Dr. Randy Nelson, Extension Educator in Clay County, Minnesota.

Rain gardens can help reduce stormwater volume and improve water quality. Dr. Nelson presents his research about perennial grass performance in rain garden environments, including how cyclical flood and drought affect the grasses. He also shares findings of his second experiment looking at submergence depth and duration on grass survival and quality.
