We are excited to welcome you to the 2022 IEEE Spoken Language Technology Workshop (IEEE SLT 2022) held from 9th - 12th January 2023 at the Marsa Malaz Kempinski in Doha, Qatar. It is our immense pleasure to bring an IEEE Signal Processing Society (SPS) sponsored conference to the IEEE Middle East Section of Region 8 (Africa, Europe, and the Middle East) for the first time in the history of IEEE. The IEEE SLT workshop is a biennial event of IEEE SPS’s Speech and Language Processing Technical Committee (SLTC) focusing on various aspects of spoken language technologies and their applications such as Automated Speech Recognition, Text-To-Speech Synthesis, Natural Language Processing of Spoken Audio, Speaker and Language Recognition, Multimodal and Multilingual Speech Processing, Machine Learning for Speech and Language, and much, much more! IEEE SLT 2022 will bring together students, researchers from academia and industry from all over the world addressing these aspects of speech technology for the “languages of the world”. In another first, the International Speech Communication Association (ISCA) is a technical sponsor enabling us to expand our outreach to additional languages of the world.
