Hi everyone! Welcome to my Youtube, glad to have you watching!

Today i would like to show you my beautifull 2 year old Camponotus cruentatus colony... A colony which i'm extra proud of.

I got this colony as a queen (2 years ago). The queen was very easily stressed out.. Every minor movement resulted in the queen running around in chaos and eating her own brood, and this went on for quite some time..
Even after having her first nanitic this didn't change.. The queen killed her own daughter, and ate her brood right after.

I put the queen away in the dark, and went to check on her every few weeks... and with success :D
So please remember... If things arent going as planned, change your approach, and keep on trying!!! I had success so could you!

I didnt want to stress them out too much with my camera and all the lighting, but it felt they are stable enough to be documented... So i hope you'll be enjoying my beautifull Cruentatus colony!
