The thumb is one of our strongest fingers, but also one that needs a different approach in order to function well. If you're struggling with uneven notes when playing the piano, you might try the following tips:1. Place your thumb diagonally on the keys, mimicking the surface area of your other fingertips. This takes away the heaviness of the finger and makes it more agile and easy to control.2. Play from the jointMany starting pianists do not use their thumb autonomously, but rather play the thumb by moving their wrist, resulting in a heavier sound.Hope this helps!
