Hurricane Creek Trail in NC after a Rain Storm!

On Saturday February, 25th we headed up the "Hurricane Creek Trail" in western North Carolina on our way to the Asheville area. This is a popular off-road route if you know where to find it, (accessible off I-40 Westbound only). Coming eastbounnd I was able to utilize a forest road turn off that loops under the interstate a couple miles down as a turnaround point. We hadn't anticipated over 0.25" of rain and it made for slippery conditions and raised the river crossings in a couple areas. We camped for the night shortly after starting and met several trail users coming back the other direction due to an off-camber obstacle with considerable exposure. Never the less, we continued on the next morning and were able to pass thru the area without issue, but not without a little nerve wracking sliding!
