Tobi Amusan showcased her speed in the women’s 100m flat at the recent Tom Jones Invitational in Florida, clocking 11.26s and securing the 4th position in a highly competitive race won by Abby Steiner in 11.05s. Despite finishing alongside Maia McCoy, Amusan secured 4th place by a slight margin.

This event marked Amusan's return to competition since her remarkable double GOLD win at the African Games, maintaining her tradition of starting the season with the 100m before focusing on hurdling. On another track, Ofili triumphed in the Women’s 200-meter event, clinching victory with an impressive time of 22.33 seconds and securing her place in the Paris 2024 Olympics.

Notably, Nathaniel set a new Nigerian record in the 400mH event, clocking 48.29s and automatically qualifying for the Paris Olympics. Additionally, Erhire Best showcased his talent in the Men’s High Jump, winning with a Season’s Best of 2.21m.
