Enums are a special type of macro you can create in GameMaker. They represent a set of related elements, and you can use them for many things, such as creating a list of states that an object can exist in (the foundation of the popular state machine pattern) or naming element indices in a list. This video goes over how you would use them, and some of the things you might want to use them for!
