#Saudi equestrian and certified mounted archery trainer Noura Al-Jabr demonstrates her mounted archery and sword fighting skills at a training center in Dammam, the capital of the Eastern province.

Al-Jabr, who is the first Saudi certified trainer in mounted archery, has turned into a source of inspiration for many Saudi women, who aspire to become professionals in this mainly male-dominated sport.

"It [mounted archery and sword fighting] started as a hobby, but after reading Arabic manuscripts, I began to look at it as a buried tradition, and we revived this lost tradition," Al-Jabr says. (AFP) #news #voanews
