Here's an update on the ongoing Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway project via Sangotedo Abijo Area, Lagos.

Project Overview

The Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway is a 700-kilometer project that will connect Victoria Island, Lagos, to Calabar, Cross River State, passing through eight states: Ogun, Ondo, Delta, Bayelsa, Rivers, Akwa Ibom, and Cross River.

Construction began in March 2024, with the first phase stretching 47.47 kilometers from Lagos. The project is expected to be completed in eight years, with a total cost of N4 billion per kilometer.

The project is expected to be completed by 2031.
