Can this old 1999 Toyota RAV4 that I paid $2000 for make it through the Canadian Rocky Mountains in the winter? 1000 kilometers through the Rockies, the Coquihalla Highway (Highway Thru Hell) from the temperate Vancouver Island in British Columbia, all the way to Banff, Alberta and -25c!
We (me and the pup) drove through all kinds of weather - dangerous icy roads, blizzard snow storms. Saw several cars in the ditch and some really questionable driving techniques and some amazing scenery.
It's not a fun drive this time of year and I'm not sure about this 24 year old 1st gen. RAV4.1.
I do NOT recommend this drive during the winter month, although it is beautiful ⛄🏔🍻🤠
